JOHNNY BOY - GREY PERCHERON GELDING - $650
SCOUT - BAY QH/MORGAN X GELDING - $625
GREY MEXICAN TYPE GELDING - $575
OCTOBER 17th ... UPDATE ON JOHNNY BOY, SCOUT And The MEXICAN GELDING
Johnny Boy is currently at AC4H. He has a cloudy eye and seems to have limited vision in that eye. Other than that he is getting chubby. When we had a rider try him, he was snorty and nervous, however he does take a rider with no buck. Further evaluation on him is planned soon.
Scout is now on a 2 week trial with Sharon. Sharon is one of our previous adopters, and has been looking for a horse for trail riding. We will see how she does with Scout.
The Mexican gray is still in quarantine. He will be evaluated soon.

OCTOBER 17th ... UPDATE ON THE BELGIAN FILLY (ABIGAIL) AND THE HAFLINGERS
Abigail the Belgian is at the farm in quarantine. She hasn't been evaluated yet, and she is just hanging out gaining some weight.
Brittany, the haflinger is a 2 year old green broke horse. She moves away and is unsure when mounting. She is very quiet and will need some training, but her attitude is wonderful.
The other haflinger is at a foster home. This lady has previously adopted from AC4H and specializes in driving. This horse will be teamed up with another haflinger, taught to drive and then be adopted out as a pair with the other haflinger she has now. We shall be following her progress.
Again thank you everyone for facilitating this rescue. If you get a chance, please visit our website and check out AC4H pics random for an overview of farm life at the rescue. We always encourage visits if you are planning to be in the area. Please call Christy first, so that she can be sure to make time to meet and greet you.

TWO IN DIRECT to SLAUGHTER PEN
TB and QH to Save on Sept. 10th
Horse #1) Dk.Bay (looks black) with white star and white hind sock. 5 y/o named Wild About Dancin'. Md. bred horse. Last raced at Laurel 11/05 so he's been off the track soon to be 2 yrs. already. He is sound and a real LOVEBUG. Christy said he just kept putting his head in her chest and loves to be loved on.
Horse #2) Palomino QH gelding. Stands approx. 15.1 hds. and is built like a tank. Guy 'dumping' him at the sale spoke w/Christy and he told her he paid $2600 for the horse- but now he's unloading him. Not sure what his problem may be (if he has one), perhaps he's 'tyed up' or is HYPP positive. He seemed sensitive when pressure was applied to his kidney area and is standing 'under' himself. Only some vet work will tell the tale on this one if there is something brewing.
(Below Left:) Palomino gelding pulled from DTS pen and (Below Right:) Wild About Dancin' TB gelding last raced 11/05.
Both are pictured on 9/12 at AC4H.

OCTOBER 17th ... UPDATE ON THE FLASHY PALOMINO AND WILD ABOUT DANCIN'
Thank you for the FOB involvement saving these two horses. The horse Wild About Dancin' has been adopted by Jackie who is involved with a rescue in MN that we have been involved with in the past. They are Over 18 hand Sanctuary, and they have given homes to a few of our Belgian rescues fitting that description. Anyway ... Wild About Dancin' is with their office manager. So far... everything is wonderful, and we will be checking on their progress together periodically.
The flashy palomino left with a previous adopter from Williamsport, PA. We will be sure to update you and we are expecting new photos shortly.
Thank you for helping these two horses. Without you they would not have the happy beginnings they so deserve.

THREE ARABS WENT TO NH AND DIDN'T HAVE A RIDE HOME
http://forums.delphiforums.com/alexbrown/messages?msg=15007.1
There are 2 chestnuts... one is estimated at 8; the other is estimated at 12 years old. The bay arab is older; she is smooth mouthed, probably 17 or 18 and very likely the mother of the other two arabs. They are all purebred, but have no papers.
We need 975 for the three of them; 50 for the transportation( all inclusive ) and 25 each for coggins.
Can we save these 3 mares?
Mother - Bay Arab 15 -18 years.
Daughter # 1 - Chestnut with blaze - maybe 12 yrs.
Daughter # 2 - Chestnut with snip - maybe 8 yrs

OCTOBER 17th ... UPDATE ON THE THREE ARAB MARES
Hello All,
All three Arabian mares are currently being quarantined at AC4H. They are all doing well and are stunning horses to watch as they run and enjoy life again. All of them can be ridden. There are some pictures of them on the website . Just go to the front page and click AC4H pics random. They are very attached to each other, and as soon as one is being haltered or ridden, the others act as if their worlds are falling apart. Quarantine is almost over, and they will all be re-evaluated and ready for adoption.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us.

TWO HORSES IN KILL PEN Sept. 29 (Palomino is saved at the last minute)
Sunshine Denise and He's My Hero
http://forums.delphiforums.com/alexbrown/messages?msg=15188.1
HE'S MY HERO - aka MARIO - three year old TB
DOUG also secured with sponsorship.
October 17th UPDATE On MARIO (HE'S MY HERO)
I just wanted everyone to know that Mario (HE'S MY HERO) is currently being fostered at Sarah's ... one of our foster homes approximately 20 miles from AC4H. Sarah has fostered and trained as well as volunteered for us. When he first arrived, he had a lot of bite marks and scratches... referred to as "scratches and dents " however he is healing over just fine now. He is in quarantine and so far has only shown to have a great mind, as well as a great personality. He was ridden in the parking lot of NH and nothing bothered him.
We are expecting Mario to make a full recovery and have a wonderful future ahead of him when he finds the perfect place to call home.
Thank you to everyone who helped him.
