Clover
From AlexBrownRacing
I started leasing Clover and later purchased him when he was about 4 years old. All I really know about him prior to purchase is that he was given to his previous owner from a trainer at Delaware Park after it was determined he would not make it on the rack due to being a roarer. He was given to her at about the age of 2 or 3. I am unsure of his racing name, don't have papers, and can't read his tatoo. Clover is now about 10 years old. He developed arthritis in his hocks not long after I purchased him. I was able to maintain that up until this past fall when he was diagnosed with a torn maniscus in his stifle. He can be lightly ridden but will not be able to stand up to regular ring work.
Clover has a great personality! He is very easy to work with and every vet and farrier that I have had work with him has said that he is a nice horse to work with and around. He is good with dogs and children. Clover has done some low level dressage (he will not be able to continue this) and has always loved to jump. The vet says that he can still jump on occasion, but no tight turns, etc... Clover would likely do best at a home with someone that wants to go for a light ride occasionally. He may not do well with a lot of hills etc... as his back end may not hold up to that kind of work. He is generally very quiet but would do best with someone with some horse experience.
Clover is free to a GOOD HOME!!! Owner will want to see where Clover will be living and be assured that he will have a forever home. For questions or inquaries about Clover, please email me at stacy1130@verizon.net.
