Amy DiBartolomeo and Established Law

Hi all :) My name's Amy and I live in Wheeling, WV. I am a 23 year old riding instructor and student at Bethany College. I am an equine business management major and I also groom for our home barn at school. I love it and it allows me to travel and spend time with the horses! Currently I own one thoroughbred : Established Law (he's mine, and he's awesome - my dream horse). I also have two horses in training and a barnfull of other fourlegged's that I spent a lot of time with. I have three dogs, a min pin named Layla, a pitbull rescue named Ozwald and a boxer named Harvey :) and two cats, both rescues : Cali and Fia.

Horse experience

I started taking riding lessons when I was super young, then bought my first horse - a quarter horse / arab cross. He was a wonderful barrel racer and passed away from colic on Valentines Day four years ago. I bought my first OTTB in May of 2007 from Mountaineer Race Track (Established Law!!) and he is the best animal I've ever owned :) I teach riding lessons at Storybrook Stables, and help horses from Mountaineer Race Track and Sugarcreek find a better life full of love, other than that I am a groom for a top level eventing facility and love my job there, as well! I am currently training a six year old holsteiner named Alpine Ski, and he is a beauty!

Our Story

All of the OTTB's at my farm came from Mountaineer Race Track in West Virginia. Law is super quiet and and very honest. I swear he's worth his weight in gold. My best friend bought Count just a few months ago. She was not a rider, but loved horses. She had never owned a horse, and had only ridden a handful of times. When Rachel / Kim told me about him, I had to tell her. She brought him home two days after she bought him from Don Blankenship and they have the tightest bond you would ever see! He actually will pass others up in the field and run to her. He definately knows who his mom is! She has since moved to Pittsburgh and can't have a horse, so Count has been moved on to another family to trail ride and love him. We find all of our TB's Rachel Paris and Kim Bennet and they have became wonderful friends of ours :) We are blessed to have them in our lives! :)
