Curlin Bandwagoneer

My name??? I run the bandwagon, of course. Let's ride...... Also, I tend to be very sarcastic and attempt to be funny. If anyone missunderstands my poor attempts at humor, I am sorry. I consider myself easy to get along with and I like people to be happy. I am also not afraid to disagree, but I like to find common ground with everyone, no matter WHAT their views are. I believe that is my strong point.

ALL ABOUT ME

I have been around horse racing even before I was born. My first trip was to River Downs, or so my Mom says! I am in love with horses. They are amazing animals, and second only to orange tabby cats. My family was very poor, so I never had a horse growing up. We would travel to the races, at least the Spinster, and to Rolex every year. We also went to Arlington, after it burnt but before it closed the second time. I had a horse I took care of, his name was Luke and he was a "retiree" at the barn we went to.

We worked to ride, did alot of the chores that no one else wanted to do.I usually picked stalls and dragged the fields in between time with Luke. I have been hurt by horses, physically and mentally. I hope to own land and my own horse someday, although I have an acre of grass and a barn, I know I cannot have a horse on this property. I only wish others were that smart. One day I will have horses, at least 2. That's all Click here to see a dork

I have been around horses for a long time. Mostly racehorses. When I was young I read all the books, including the Keeneland auction catalogs that my Mom had. I have decent knowledge of bloodlines, and I have forgotten more racehorses than many ever knew HAHAHA. I forget alot of things.I like to learn more, and love to teach people what little I know.I have learned so much from my famblee.Biggest thanks goes to my state leader Michelle, who is one of the best people I have never met!LOL The High/low point of my life as an FOB was meeting with the COS for John Boehner. It was a tough meeting, but thanks to the brochure Michelle sent me, I feel that I at least MADE SURE that they are aware of what they are supporting. They cannot claim ignorance!!! Oh Verna, she is the best, so much fun to hang out with. As I have mentioned before, Michelle is the great sage to my grasshopper XD. Also a special shout out to Chrys(Sylversky) she keeps me sane in an unsane world. There are many others who I only know by screen name. I like the diversity here, and have made great frens!!!

I also take care of SIX Haflingers. I clean stalls, feed, and water them.

My Tattoo

002.jpg

This is my Curlin tattoo for all those who haven't seen it. I decided to get it after Curlin became the $10 million dollar man. That cemented him in history enough to warrant me getting his likeness on my back. I would of course still be obsessed with this beautiful Chestnut adonis. It just added that little something extra I needed to go the next step. I know many of you cannot begin to even comprehend WHY I would do something like this for a horse. A horse I have never touched (yet). Let's just say I am impulsive and I know when I like something. And why not? Why not honor "MY" Secretariat with a tattoo of his likeness? Next is Barbaro. I just have to stop crying when I see his picture before I can do that.
