Hi Tammy,
Just wanted to let you know that Lovey is doing good. She still has some minor infection in her leg from the pressure sores caused by the cast but that is healing nicely. We lock her up at night due to the cold weather but then she roams free during the day usually. The stump is still not mature enough to be fitted for the prosthesis but hopefully that will be completed by the beginning or middle of January. So far her good leg is still remaining strong so we still need lots of prayers that the dreaded Laminitis won't develop. Her specialist farrier is diligently working with her to keep the special shoes good and tight. I decided to nominate Lovey for the Arkansas Pet of the Year which will awarded in February at the Arkansas Veterinary Winter Meeting. She hasn't won the award yet as the association hasn't voted on the nominees yet. I will let you know as soon as we know if this happens. I haven't taken any new pictures as she hasn't changed enough to notice any differences. I know it has been awhile since I emailed you but things here are very hectic and I am needed at the humane society nearly everyday. But don't fret as your beloved Lovey is still getting everything she needs or desires and is still being treated like the queen she has become to all of us.

Teresa
