Bio
I have been around horses in some capacity all my life in spite of the many moves I have made. I and my S/O currently have 5 horses of our own in residence all of which have been a rescue in some way, and a 6th that we are fostering (Incredible Moe from Camelot's 12/23 run.)and a 7th who is a 2 y/o QHx geld who is a Feb 2010 Camelot Save whom we have named Plus One as we had said our limit here on the farm was 6 and he makes 7 :} Slan Abhaile is Irish gaelic and loosely translated means Safe Home. Our farm is called Slan Abhaile Farm. My other half is a Farrier. I am on the board of directors for a Therapeutic Riding Program here in Maine and I am also the VP for the Maine Celtic Celebration which myself and a few others started 4 years ago.

Horse experience
I grew up in England and consequently learned to ride in the English tradition. I had never seen a Western Saddle until my family emmigrated to the US - talk about culture shock. Anyway as I grew up, horses were an integral part of my life. I worked as a groom at both STB and TB racetracks throughout the US. I also worked as a groom on STB, WB and TB Breeding farms. I have been a large animal veterinary technician here in the US and I also taught English Riding Instruction in Japan. I am currently starting to pursue my NARHA instructor certification.
